I check what’s actually there.
I’ll check the burner, controls, pressure, valves, venting, and the pipes around the boiler. If a part failed or something is leaking, I’ll show you.
If it’s a small repair, I’ll say so. If more work is needed, I’ll explain it and give you the cost before I start.
I repair and replace boilers in brownstones, apartments, and small buildings. All plumbing and gas work is performed under a NYC licensed Master Plumber.

The price depends on what failed, the parts needed, and how much of the system I need to open up. The estimate is free. If I come out to diagnose it, that service call comes off the repair.
I won’t tell you to replace the boiler if a safe repair will keep it going. If the boiler is done or the repair costs too much for what you get, I’ll show you why.
